A Periodontist is a dental specialist that has completed three years of specialty training in addition to four years of dental school. Periodontists are also specially trained to place dental implants, treat periodontal disease, and rebuild lost gum and bone through surgical procedures. They are trained to remove teeth and replace them with implants at the same time allowing for a faster healing time.
Dr. Becker brings both his knowledge and expertise with 20 years of experience to provide you with exceptional care. He received his specialty training in Periodontics along with a Master of Dental Science degree from Case Western Reserve University of Dental Medicine, and his dental degree from The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry.
Dr. Becker is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Periodontology, and the American Dental Association. He has had articles published in the Journal of Dental Research and the Journal of Periodontology.
Dr. Becker's teaching experience includes Head and Neck Anatomy, Embryology, Tooth Morphology, Periodontics, Implant Surgical Techniques and IV Sedation.
Currently, Dr. Becker is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in the graduate periodontics department.
